Canada's Terradyne aims to build the next generation of tactical military trucks that are as strikingly beautiful as they are ridiculously rugged. Their Hummer-esque Ghurka RPV "civilian edition" is the latest contender for a custom truck most likely to rule a post-apocaylptic landscape.
It's capable of withstanding 7 millimeter armor piercing bullets, and can ram through chained gates and drive in up to 30 inches of water, should the occasion arise.
Its 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel is good for 300 hp and 660 lb.-ft. of torque of torque via a six speed automatic mated to a four-wheel system, and it can hit a respectable 70 mph despite weighing in at 13,500 pounds.
At $278,000 the Ghurka RPV isn't exactly cheap. But it might just save your life.
