This 131-Foot Wooden Sailing Yacht Boasts A Jacuzzi On The Bow

The groundbreaking boat comes with more than 3,700 square feet of outdoor space.

SCA Yachting is making a statement with its foray into the boatbuilding business.

The Bodrum, Turkey-based firm, best known for its yacht chartering and refitting services, has announced construction of the 131-foot Boa Kingdom, due for delivery in 2025, according to Boat International.

In partnership with Turkish luxury yacht builder Fuat Turan, the motorized wooden sailer will be built at Cavusoglu Shipyard, which specializes in wood epoxy laminate construction.

“We prefer wood for the Boa Kingdom because of its remarkable fatigue resistance, ensuring longevity,” said SCA Yachting founder Cenk Avdan in a statement.

“Also, wood is the most environmentally friendly option and does not harm the health of people on board. At SCA Yachting, we will continue to support wood as our material of choice.”

Details are scant, as Boa Kingdom is a private commission. But it’s reported that the vessel will feature accommodations for up to 12 guests and seven crew, over 3,700 square feet of outdoor living space, a 172-square-foot swimming platform, and a 900-foot-plus flybridge.

Provided art also shows a jacuzzi located scenically on the bow, as well as a plethora of lounging areas scattered across the sundeck. In addition its sail, the Boa Kingdom will be powered by twin 550-horsepower Volvo engines, good for a top speed of 15 knots (17 mph) and a cruising speed of 12 knots (14 mph).
