Goldberg has wrestled in two one-on-one matches since making his return to the WWE last November and they’ve taken a grand total of 106 seconds.

The first match, at Survivor Series last November, was an 84 second demolition of Brock Lesnar. And on Sunday night at Fastlane, he destroyed Kevin Owens in a swift 22 seconds. With that win Goldberg took the Universal Championship belt, his third championship in his long career.

Goldberg’s rapid fire wins over Goldberg and Owens give him an aura of invincibility. He doesn’t just smoke his opponents, he does in less time than it takes to walk to the ring. But ending matches before anyone’s broken a sweat has a practical purpose too. The oft-injured 50-year-old is just not capable of bouncing around the ring for 20 minutes like a man half his age. So the WWE allows him to bust out two moves, growl like a grizzly and get a three count.

After Sunday’s Fastlane match, the WWE cameras caught up with Godlberg backstage and he said was already thinking about his upcoming Wrestlemania bout with Brock Lesnar. “I’m 2-0 against him and he’s coming with everything he’s got. If I think he’s not, I’m the stupidest guy in the world. I’ve got three weeks to prepare for his ass and if you think I’m not going to be prepared, you’re crazy.”
