The UFC has dropped the official hype video for the biggest fight in the history of the lightweight division--the long-awaited clash between unbeaten world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 249 on April 18.
Winner of 12 in a row, Ferguson has left no doubt that he’s ready to challenge Nurmagomedov, whose perfect 28-0 record includes dominant wins over Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
The fight at Brooklyn's Barclays Center was previously booked in 2015, 2016 and 2017, so it's been a long time coming for the clash billed in the video as "the most anticipated fight in UFC history."
"I dominate every single opponent," Khabib says in the clip. “No one even close. I am on a different level. Everybody know this...but for my legacy, I have to beat Tony Ferguson."
Later, Ferguson responds: “We been putting years into getting ready for this fight, so we gonna make this boy suffer."
Plus, one of the most memorable strawweight fights of 2019 will get a rematch when former world champions Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas meet again.
UFC 249 is exclusively available on ESPN+ pay-per-view on April 18.
