Gawked-Over Model Katherine Webb Responded Perfectly to Brent Musburger’s Retirement

Long-time sports broadcaster Brent Musburger recently announced that he will call his last game when the Kentucky and Georgia men’s basketball teams square off on January 31, and that he plans to spend his retirement helping his family start a sports handicapping business and traveling the world with the millions of airline miles he’s racked up over the years.
After almost 50 years of providing colorful sports commentary for CBS, ABC and ESPN, the 77-year-old veteran sportscaster has had countless memorable moments. But his fawning over Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron’s then-girlfriend Katherine Webb during the 2013 BCS National Championship game is one of the most unforgettable.
Neither McCarron, who now plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, nor the former Miss Alabama took any offense, and why would they? In fact, she even sent out this heartfelt tweet upon hearing the news.
