The 49ers and Titans face off with playoff spots—and MaximBet money—on the line.

Hey, do you like football? Because thanks to league-wide Covid outbreaks, you get football. You are up to your eyeballs in football, and just in time for Christmas.

This week we’ve got NFL happening every day except for Wednesday and Friday. And even then, you have college football games sliding in the off days. Who doesn’t want to watch the Summer’s Eve Active Chafe Gel Bowl? Don’t forget, you can gamble on all of the football odds at MaximBet.

Why wouldn’t you kill three hours viewing North Texas take on Miami of Ohio with the Frisco Football Classic presented by Ryan trophy at stake? What’s Ryan? Is it just a dude named Ryan? No one knows or wants to find out. It’s taken us over a decade to get comfortable with the idea that there’s a “Miami” in Ohio.

It won’t surprise you to know I write these articles early. And, as I’m sitting here about to pick the Thursday night game for Week 16, we still have two Week 15 games to play.

Luckily, because the teams involved are highly vaccinated and no one, as far as I can tell, is huffing cattle dewormer, chugging camel hemorrhoid creams or snorting horse boner pills, the teams should be pretty much healthy by the time the games kick off. Hopefully, they’ll be in the Christmas spirit and win you some money.

But my eyes are on the future and, with just a day or so before kickoff, nothing seems to be affecting the Thursday Night Football game odds at MaximBet other than the usual, sorry injury luck for the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.

They haven’t been so much bitten by the injury bug, but more like the injury Mothra. I think, at this point, I’ve suited up for the Titans more than Julio Jones.

To keep these Covid problems from wreaking havoc as we throttle our way to the postseason, the NFL has adopted new protocols that amount to, if you’re vaccinated and don’t look sick, we ain’t checking you.

And while the more cynical and stupid corners of the Twitterverse might take some glee in that, I feel as if it’s just acknowledging reality. Covid is here to stay. And if you’re vaccinated against it, there’s really nothing else you can do.

And if you’re not, maybe a fresh lesson in Darwinism every few months doesn’t hurt.

NFL Thursday Night Football Betting Odds

San Francisco 49ers (-4) at Tennessee Titans

Just four days after resuscitating the Pittsburgh Steelers’ playoff chances, the Titans get to play heroes again, helping the 49ers punch their ticket to the postseason.

Tennessee came into their Sunday matchup with a chance to grab the top seed in the AFC and responded like a fat retired former NBA player boxing Logan Paul.

San Francisco is on cruise control, riding a QB in Jimmy Garoppolo who is 32-13 as a starter in the NFL and has taken the team to the Super Bowl. And the head coach can’t wait to fire Garoppolo and run him out of the city.

All Jimmy G has done this season is compile an 8-5 record, complete 67.4 percent of his passes for 3,172 yards and 18 touchdowns with just eight interceptions. He leads the league in yards per attempt with 8.5 and yards per completion at 12.6.

I can see why you’d want to load that guy into the trebuchet and fire him over the nearest castle wall.

A.J. Brown could be back, but the injuries are finally grinding the Titans down here in the stretch.

Take the 49ers at -4.
