This year's champion at the invitation-only event was Kurt Sorge from Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. Watch him flip, whip and ride his way to the gold medal above.
A team of judges rates each rider on four criteria: difficulty of line, air amplitude, control and fluidity, and tricks. Sorge's batshit run earned him a composite score of 92.66, making him the first competitor to win the Rampage three times since its inception in 2001.
Reno, Nevada native Cam Zink came in second place with a 90.33, and next-generation shredder Ethan Nell of St. George, Utah took the last spot on the winner's podium with an even 90.
These adrenaline junkies make it all look like a walk in the park. A first-person video from People's Choice Award winner Antoine Bizet's run shows just how berserk stomping a double back flip looks from a biker's perspective.
