Rob Gronkowski is 27 years old and appears to be as mature as a pre-teen. So imagine how big of a jackass he was at 17.
Or don’t imagine, becuase a story has surfaced this week illustrating it perfectly. Here’s Gronk’s high school basketball coach telling the tale to WPRI:
“So we’re playing a home game and we have 68 points – now it’s not a blowout, but it’s not a particularly close game either. So he [Gronkowski] gets fouled and goes to the free throw line. He hits the first one to get us to 69 and the place goes nuts because he’s playing into it. On his next free throw, he purposely chucks the ball off the backboard and misses so the score would stay at 69 and then runs back on defense pointing at the scoreboard.”
Amazing. And not all that unexpected. Gronk always appears happiest when he’s goofing off, whether it’s on the field or at sea with hundreds of pasty drunks who paid good money in hopes he’d puke on them at a 3am dance party.
Unsurprisingly, Gronk loves a good 69 joke to this day, just as he has since he was three years old. Yes, as a toddler in diapers, this dude was cracking wise about simultaneous oral sex. So says his girlfriend Camille Kostek:
