MaximBet Ranks Highest-Paid NFL Quarterbacks

Did your team’s QB make the cut?

(YouTube/TY Highlights)

NFL players are some of the best paid professional athletes in sports, and deservedly so—you’d probably want some serious scratch for going to war with 300-pound linebackers.

The criteria for ranking the highest-paid NFL players varies some depending on whether one is considering their by-season, annual, or guaranteed pay. But for the sake of this tally, we’re going with annual value. This explains why Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, whose lucrative endorsement deals pushed him to the top of Forbes highest-paid NFL player list, is absent here.

Speaking of value, if you’re looking to place your first NFL bet for the season, we invite you to check out MaximBet’s special Welcome Offer. Sign up, make your first deposit and place your bet, and if you deposit up to $1,000, we’ll match it by 100%.*

The Highest Paid NFL Players Are All Quarterbacks

It’s no surprise that the highest paid NFL players are all quarterbacks—the whole game evolves around them. They’re the ones who make the decisions, run the plays and have the longest pigskin possessions.

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers Quarterback

$50.3 million

Two-time MVP Aaron Rodgers currently tops the salary list. The Green Bay Packers QB signed a three-year extension that gave him a league-leading payday. He’s a passing machine, having completed 69.8 per cent of his throws, and in the past two seasons alone, he’s racked up 85 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals Quarterback

$46.1 million

The Arizona Cardinals just signed a five-year extension with QB Kyler Murray. When he played for Oklahoma in college, he won the Heisman Trophy as a junior. Since joining the pros in 2019, the 24 year old has improved ever season and is considered one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL today.

Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback

$45 million

Patrick Mahomes is sitting pretty with a generous 10-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The quarterback has taken his team to two Super Bowls in the past four years, and has earned an impressive number of accolades over the years, including Super Bowl MVP, NFL Most Valuable Player, NFL Offensive Player of the Year, and more.

Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills Quarterback

$43 million

Josh Allen played a bit inconsistently in his first two years in the NFL. But since 2020, he has become one to watch, leading the Buffalo Bills to their first division title and playoff victory since 1995. He’s had 42 total touchdowns and he’s looked great in the 2022 preseason with nine touchdowns over two games.

Derek Carr – Las Vegas Riders Quarterback

$40.5 million

Selected by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Derek Carr helped his team reach the playoffs in 2016 and again in 2021. His fellow players also ranked him 65th on the Top 100 NFL Players for 2022. For his efforts, the Raiders gave Carr a three-year, $121.5 million extension earlier in the offseason.
