Breitling has long been the luxury watch brand of choice for aviation enthusiasts.

But the renowned Swiss watchmaker has looked to the seas for fresh inspiration, which culminated in the release of its new “Exospace B55 Yachting” connected chronograph.

It is still a pilot watch first and foremost, with an electronic tachymeter and a device for recording flight times.

But it capabilities will serve wearers beyond the cockpit. Its thermo-compensated quartz electronic movement powers its chronograph, which has both analog and 12- and 24-hour digital displays.

It can also be synced up to a smartphone through Bluetooth, which will help wearers record those flight times.

A dedicated Breitling app allows for such data transfers and for watch settings to be adjusted by phone.

The design is unmistakably inspired by the seas—with a blue rubber strap and titanium case that’d last through the roughest of waters.

The Breitling Exospace B55 Yachting is now available for $7,170. It is also available with a titanium strap for $7,685. Which one would you rock?
