Kevin Durant’s Peanut Butter & Jelly Sneakers Look Tasty

It got us thinking: What other foods would make good footwear?

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Like, really loves them. He loves them so much, in fact, that he got Nike to make him a special PB&J-themed sneaker! Yes, the KD VI Peanut Butter & Jelly—which is the first food-themed shoe in the brand’s long history—has a jelly-like swoosh and a peanut-gold and maroon upper and outsole. But what other foodstuffs would make for interesting footwear? Here are our suggestions…so listen up, Nike!

Sushi Sandals

A green seaweed sole and salmon-colored straps will make you the tastiest number on the beach. Arigato!

Burger Boots

A manly meal deserves some manly footwear, so sink your teeth into these rugged babies. (Cheese-yellow tongue is optional.)

Pizza Pumps

Let’s not forget about the ladies! These sizzling stilettos are sure to cure your girl’s hunger for fashion. Extra pepperoni, please!

The KD VI Peanut Butter & Jelly launches in limited quantities on October 19 at select retail locations and Nike.com.
