Luminox is collaborating with former UK Special Forces soldier and survival expert extraordinaire Bear Grylls to bring out the Bear Grylls Survival Collection—eight watches that distill the best of what the watchmaker offers.
With models geared toward adventures on the Sea, in the Air, and over the Land, this new line of timepieces is designed for the kind of consumer who views Grylls's exploits in the wild not just as entertainment, but as a guide to better living.
Luminox isn't just paying lip service to its brand ambassador here—these are premium watches intended to aid exploration and survival.
They come with Swiss analog quartz movements and Carbonox cases in addition to a list of practical features that include compasses, the usual chronograph complications found on many watches, paracord wristbands, and even a Morse code interpreter.
Grylls said in a statement released by Luminox that it is "incredibly important to me to work alongside world-class trusted partners and Luminox have proved that and more."
"I've been wearing Luminox since my early adventuring days," Grylls continued, "so it’s great to now be a part of the family."
He also noted that his Survival Collection "has been carefully crafted featuring multi-functional design and state of the art materials – set to inspire and encourage the adventurer in everyone – men and women, boys and girls, outdoor novices and experts."
Prices range from $445 to $890. The Bear Grylls Survival Collection is available for pre-order now via the Luminox website.
