If you've been waiting for the return of the wild, experimental Madonna you loved during the 1980s, look no further than Lourdes “Lola” Leon.
The daughter of Madonna and actor Carlon Leon is all grown up (she turns 20 this year) and ready to make her first solo splash on the entertainment world. Last week, Leon teamed up with musician Grimes, actress Amandla Stenberg and activist Kenya Kinski-Jones as the new faces of Stella McCartney's Pop fragrance.
"Lola, who I’ve known her entire life, is at the beginning of her career as a performance artist," wrote McCartney in an Instagram photo of Leon in action. "She’s an independent, inspirational and free-spirited young woman. Despite being born in the spotlight, she has kept her feet firmly on the ground!"
Leon isn't just stunning in her own right, but a spitting image of her beautiful mother during Madonna's peak years in the '80s and '90s. Just take a look at this Instagram photo from a few months ago and see if you can tell them apart:
While Madonna's career may be on the decline, we're looking forward to decades more of her beauty in the form of her talented daughter's burgeoning career. Lola, here's to you — and we can't wait to see what you come up with next.
