Nike is set to drop the first new Kobe Bryant sneaker since the late NBA legend was killed in a January helicopter crash.

The Mamba Fury is the latest in a long line of collaborations between Nike and Bryant, which spans the KB Mentality, Kobe Venomenon, Mamba Instinct, Mamba Rage and Mamba Focus.

Forbes reports that the first images were first posted by sneakerhead Instagram account Wear Testers, but others have popped up at third-party retailers like StockX and Famous Footwear, as HypeBeast notes.

The Mamba Fury appears to be distinguished from past silhouettes by a scaly pattern on the black textile upper and red “Swoosh, as well as a bright green, yellow and black midsole with a nearly photo-realistic snakeskin design.

The midsole is made of phylon and gets a Nike Zoom bag in the forefoot for extra cushioning, while the traction pattern is identical to that of the Mamba Focus. Three different colorways of the low-top basketball shoe have been revealed so far: black and red, black and white, and white and silver.

The Mamba Fury comes after Nike reportedly pulled Bryant’s merchandise from stores in the wake of his death to prevent resellers from stockpiling. A Nike spokesperson responded by calling the reports inaccurate and claiming that the products were sold out.

Nike has yet to make an official announcement regarding the release date or price of the Mamba Fury, though the kicks were likely be difficult to secure than previous Nike x Kobe Bryant models, which typically retail for around $100.
