Rowing Blazers is helmed by founder Jack Carlson – a world champion coxswain turned fashion creative director known for his unapologetic take on preppy designs tinged with a New York edge. Staple pieces like their Ivy League-inspired blazers, bold rugby shirts and baseball caps have been donned by celebrities including Timothee Chalamet, Dwyane Wade, and Emily Ratajkowski, which have given the brand a loyal sartorial following.

Carlson is an avowed watch enthusiast, and this second collection was inspired by a piece from his personal arsenal. Beyond ready-to-wear, Rowing Blazers also has a shopping vertical for special vintage watches – with listings like a Rolex Domino’s Air King and a Cartier Asymetrique Tank limited edition, to name a few – so adding a collaborative watch collection to the brand’s offering came naturally.

Designed by Rowing Blazers in partnership with Seiko and renowned vintage watch expert Eric Wind (who also happens to be Carlson’s buddy since their college days at Georgetown), the 888-piece Rowing Blazers x Seiko 5 Sports model collection is offered in four different 40mm references with vintage-inspired dials splashed in orange, lime, cerulean, and one with rainbow markers, complemented by carefully-coordinated straps.

“With our first Seiko collaboration last year, I was bowled over by the enthusiastic reception for our take on the iconic Seiko dive watch both within and beyond the watch community,” said Jack. “When Seiko asked us to do another, I was inspired by my own 1970 Seiko 6106-7107 70m Sport Diver, with a bright orange dial.”
