That Land Rover is bringing back the Defender in 2020 after it appeared to end its run in 2016 is great enough—now luxe Swiss watchmaker Zenith is issuing a limited edition model of the Defy 21 watch in celebration.

This marks the second collaboration between brands after they first got together four years ago for the Zenith El Primero Range Rover Special Edition.

The Zenith Defy 21 Land Rover Edition matches the SUV in classy understatement while still maintaining a substantial profile in its 44mm case and matching gray dial.

Additional details include an El Primiero 9004 automatic movement with a minimum of 50 hours’ worth of power reserve. Subdials include a 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position and a 60-second counter at 6 o’clock.

The case is made with microblasted titanium and remains water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). The strap is made from grey rubber with a titanium double folding clasp.

Only 250 of these next-gen Defender companion pieces will be sold, and they retail for $13,400 each.
