We are a bit ashamed to admit that for years we’d rely on those cheap free slippers hotels leave in your closet. This was mostly to save space in our luggage, but soon we realized the small but vital luxury a pair of quality slides or sandals bring to your overall experience—be it just to walk around your room in, cruise down to the spa or pool, or, if your pair is nice enough, incorporate into actual outdoor activities. Enter Origin, whose Flop Leather Sandals tick every necessary box. Known for crafting handsome work boots in Franklin County, Maine, Origin apply the same handmade skill, quality and superb materials (6-oz full-grain American cowhide leather, with military-spec Maxum-Lite midsole shock absorption) to their sandals, which pack tightly with zero bulk. They’re featherlight and yet offer boot-grade durability, with legit no slip soles that will save you from the even most treacherous marble deck. Anthony Skincare’s All Purpose Facial Moisturizer 

In my aged wisdom, few things have become more necessary in my dopp kit than a refreshing face moisturizer to help heal the stress of travel. Long flights, blazing sun, and questionable drinking choices all suck nutrients from the skin, so a top-notch moisturizer is a must. Another requirement is that it’s packaged under 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less to get past overzealous TSA moderators—and in plastic, not glass, for weight. Something like Anthony Skincare’s All Purpose Facial Moisturizer fits the bill loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and botanical extracts packed in a 3 ounce / 90 ml tube.
