Nearly 30 years ago, the first supersonic Concorde jets with commercial passengers took off from London’s Heathrow Airport and Paris’s Orly Airport, ushering in what seemed like a golden age of air travel. But since the supersonic jet was retired in 2003, the idea of flying from New York to London in just a few hours seemed like a lost dream — until now.
