Ariel Winter Debuts New Red Hair After Wrapping ‘Modern Family’ Role

“I’m a strawberry and a shortcake, so new nickname?”

Ariel Winter debuted a red-hot new look after wrapping up her role as the adorably nerdy middle Dunphy child on the 11th and final season of ABC sitcom Modern Family. 

The 22-year-old actress took to Instagram to flaunt fiery red hair in a selfie-video combo post captured at Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood. 

“I’m a strawberry and a shortcake sooooo new nickname?” Winter said of her luscious locks after writing, “Bye bye dark hair. I don’t think I’ll miss you,” in the caption of an earlier post. 

Winter, who previously rocked red hair in May of 2019, had been planning to switch back to the head-turning hue for months. In February, she posted a throwback selfie captioned, “Can’t wait to get back to this hair color,” as the New York Post notes.
