Former Maxim Cover Girl Candice Swanepoel Defends Post-Baby Bikini Body Against Internet Trolls
“I carried my son for nine months in there, I think I’ve earned the right to have a little tummy.”
Candice Swanepoel had choice words for the sad trolls who dare criticize her postpartum bikini body.
The former Maxim cover model shared a paparazzi photo taken just days after she gave birth to her second child, accompanied by a stern message for would-be haters.
“This is me 12 days after having my son. If you have something bad to say about it … Check yourself,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

“Society can be so cruel to one another. Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days. I am not ashamed to show my post-partum tummy, I am proud actually,” she continued. “I carried my son for nine months in there, I think I’ve earned the right to have a little tummy.”
“We are normal people too, so let me enjoy the beach in peace please,” she concluded.

It’s not the first time the gorgeous Victoria’s Secret Angel has shut down body shamers. According to Fox News, she previously posted a different photo of her prominent baby bump with the following caption:
“I don’t have to hide my stomach just because people have unrealistic standards of women. We create life … What can you do?”
Damn straight. Swanepoel is one beautiful mother—baby bump or not. The photos below prove it:
