Ernest Hemingway’s Great-Granddaughter Is a Triple Threat

Model. Actress. Hemingway.

Dree Hemingway is killing it.

The 28-year-old model—who’s the daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and great-granddaughter of legendary author Ernest Hemingway—always seemed destined for stardom from her pedigree alone.

In the past several years, the blonde bombshell has carved out an enviable modeling career, walking for Givenchy and Calvin Klein, serving as the face of campaigns for Gianfranco Ferre and Salvatore Ferragamo, and appearing in magazines from Harper’s Bazaar  to Vogue.

More recently, Hemingway’s star has been burning bright on the silver screen, starring in the acclaimed independent film Starlet and helming Live Cargo, which just premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.

With a name like Hemingway, we have to ask: Is there a piece of fiction in her future? Probably not, according to Page Six:

The hotel I was staying at [int he Bahamas] was filled with pictures of [Ernest]. The owner said, ‘Why don’t you bring your mom down, and we will go deep-sea diving and drink a lot?’”

I laughed and said, “ ‘My mother doesn’t drink, I don’t write, and I guess you recognized me because Papa and I look a lot alike.’”

We don’t see too much of a resemblance from where we’re sitting. Let’s inspect further, shall we?
