Emily Ratajkowski Saddles Up For Harper’s Bazaar, Talks Naked Selfies
Appearing naked astride a magical white steed in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar (because why not?), EmRata tells author Naomi Wolf that her skin-baring selfies are meant to promote a sex-positive social media movement.
“A selfie is a sort of interesting way to reclaim the gaze, right? You’re looking at yourself and taking a photo while looking at everyone,” the Gone Girl and ‘Blurred Lines’ bombshell says. “But also, who cares?”
A lot of people, apparently.
Ratajkowski also sounds off about former CNN host Piers Morgan dissing Kim Kardashian for posting naked selfies, which prompted Kim K and EmRata to join forces for one of the most momentous ‘grams of our time.
“I didn’t know her personally, but Kim posted this naked selfie in March, and there were black bars on her private areas,” Ratajkowski said. “And there was this uproar, especially from Piers Morgan, who wrote this whole thing about ‘she’s a mother, she’s 35, it’s ridiculous…'”
“That made me really angry,” Ratajkowski continued. “[Kim and I] ended up running into each other and had this idea to take a similar selfie with our middle fingers up.”
We’ll side with EmRata over Piers Morgan any day. And with righteous struggles like these, it’s no wonder she looks ready to heroically ride off into the sunset.
