Foot fetishists and leg lovers rejoice - a blast of truly strange old-school erotica is being unleashed in "Bizarre Life: The Art of Elmer Batters and Eric Stanton", opening tonight and running through May 24 at the Taschen Gallery in Los Angeles. The eye-popping exhibit showcases images from two World War II vets-turned-fetish picture pioneers: Batters, dubbed "The Dean of Leg Art" for his predilection for artfully photographing women's legs and feet, and Stanton, an illustrator and bondage pic enthusiast whose work inspired such high fashion snappers as Helmut Newton. Peep the slideshow for the exhibit's unwholesome highlights. Just be warned that several images are definitely NSFW, so maybe don't forward them to your boss.
Long before 50 Shades of Gray titillated Middle America, photographers Elmer Batters and Eric Stanton were getting seriously weird with their groundbreaking imagery.
