Anna Faris, the lovable, adorkable comedy dream girl, turns 40 today.
The oddball bombshell first caught our eye back in 2000, when she lampooned the slasher genre for the sleeper hit Scary Movie. While the raunchy spoof wasn’t much of a hit with the critics, audiences couldn't get enough of Faris (for obvious reasons). Her aw-shucks brand of humor carried the franchise for another four installments, and she stole the show in supporting turns in Just Friends and The Hot Chick. Tough luck, Rob Schneider.
Farris has proven equally well suited for Oscar fare like Brokeback Mountain and Lost in Translation, and she's even managed to find the levity in playing a single mother with a history of alcohol abuse on her current hit sitcom Mom. And may we never forget her indelible work as an ex-Playboy playmate in 2008’s The House Bunny.
Today, Nov. 29, Maxim celebrates the birth of the uproariously funny and supremely sexy Anna Faris. We know you're happily married to a guardian of the galaxy, but remember us if Pratt ever puts back on that Parks and Rec weight or runs off with Jennifer Lawrence to outer space.
