One of our favorite retro Maxim cover stars ever, Rose McGowan, celebrates her 43rd birthday today.
Most remember the raven-haired actress from her ’90s heyday, meeting an untimely garage-door death in Scream, playing a prom-queen murderess in Jawbreaker, attending the 1998 VMAs in a fully-sheer dress, and casting a spell on TV audiences in Charmed.
In 2007, Rose notably played a lethal bandit with a semi-automatic for a leg in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s collaborative exploitation flick Grindhouse.
She has since made her directorial debut with The Pines, pushed boundaries for a provocative music video, and run into some Twitter beef with Scott Baio (it happens).
