Hilary Duff Says She’s Not Looking for a Man

In her short-lived pop career, Hilary Duff star sang these indelible lyrics: “Why not take a crazy chance? Why not do a crazy dance? Why not?” Even so, her trademark “go for it!” attitude does not carry over into her dating life.

Appearing on the cover of Cosmopolitan‘s February issue, the former Lizzie McGuire star admitted that she’s not actively pursuing men following her recent divorce from hockey-pro Mike Comrie.

“I’ve never been a good dater,” the blonde beauty and former Maxim cover star confessed. “I meet, like, one person a year that I’m maybe attracted to… I never want to be that girl who’s desperate to find a mate.”

Hopefully she’ll get her groove back soon. Nearing her 30th birthday and having just been named among Forbes’ “30 Under 30,” Hilary claims she’s more confident than ever.

“I think I’m a pretty confident person. I’ve had a career for a long time, but I’ve put a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself as a woman, a businessperson, an actress. I’m like, ‘Am I doing enough?’ Everyone I’ve talked to says you come into your own in your 30s. You feel more secure. I’m looking forward to that.”
