Hot 10: Michaela Conlin
The sexy star of Bones wants nothing more than some good food and a good kiss.
Michaela Conlin was born to be a star. Following her successful audition for a local theater production, the Pennsylvania native couldn’t keep her acting addiction at bay any longer.
“When I was six years old, I auditioned for a local summer production of The King and I,” Michaela told Maxim. “I played one of the king’s children and from then on I was hooked.”
After earning a degree in acting from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, the Chinese-Irish beauty took her theater talents to television, appearing in several different drama series including MDs and The D.A. Now, she’s specializing as a forensic artist opposite David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel on the hit FOX series, Bones, which is entering its 11th season. She’s just what the doctor ordered.
Michaela told Maxim about smart women, her idea of the ideal date, and what’s next.
1) What’s your favorite curse word to use?
Fuck normally does the trick. Shitbag has also become a recent favorite. I find it’s useful when I’m driving.
2) When you want to feel sexy, what do you wear?
A nice dress and some heels. I don’t wear either that often so it feels nice when I do.
3) Do you have a go-to drink?
Bourbon on the rocks. I like Bulleit or Michter’s. I’m a bit of a lightweight so I don’t need much.
4) What movie can you watch over and over again without getting bored of?
Boogie Nights. The cast, the story, the costumes…it’s all so good.
5) How should a guy go about getting your attention?
By being smart, kind and funny. And wearing the right shoes.
6) Do you have any girl crushes right now?
Catherine Keener, Marion Cotillard and Barbara Stanwyck. I like strong, smart ladies.
7) Describe your ideal date.
It should definitely involve good food, good conversation and good kissing.
8) If you had to pick a favorite food, what’s your choice?
Pizza. It’s self explanatory.
9) How should a man be groomed?
Keep it clean. Beyond that, they shouldn’t be thinking about it too much.
10) So what’s next for you?
The Disappointments Room, a psychological horror film starring Kate Beckinsale.
