Actress Krysten Ritter is urging Sea World to free all orca whales — no ifs, ands, or butts about it. Actually, scratch that last one.
To highlight the plight orcas face in captivity, the beautiful Jessica Jones star stripped down to string bikini bottoms and submerged herself in a giant tank of water for a rousing new PETA campaign.
"Orcas are highly-evolved, emotional, intelligent creatures who should not be confined in this kind of captivity," the bombshell says. "It's the equivalent of a human living their life in a bathtub."
Following backlash after the 2013 release of the damning Blackfish documentary, Sea World pulled the plug on its controversial breeding program. But Ritter would like to see all killer whales released to seaside sanctuaries, where they can live out their days in peace (and hopefully not kill any more animal trainers).
"It's not enough, and it's time to empty the tanks," a resolute Ritter concludes.
