Happy Birthday, Madonna

We’re still hung up on the pop queen, who turns 62 today.

Take a bow, strike a pose—the queen of pop, Madonna, turns 62 today.

Originally that boisterous Italian-American dancer from Michigan, Madge first got us into the groove in the 80s. She soon shed her “Papa Don’t Preach,” wild-child image for some brilliant avant-garde work near the onset of the nineties in hits such as “Like a Prayer,” “Vogue,” and “Express Yourself.”

We’ve been hung up on her ever since.

Here’s to all the cone bras, S&M-inspired videos and on-stage make-outs. We’re looking at you, Britney and Drake. How’d it feel to make out with living history?
