New Victoria’s Secret Angel Daniela Braga Learns to Walk
The rookie Angel is everything right about the greatest show on Earth.
Sauntering in at an impressive 5’11”, Daniela Braga is the standout in Victoria’s Secrets latest recruiting class. With legs that go all the way down to the floor (and take a while to get there), smoldering brown eyes, and abs of steel, this 22-year-old, Brazil-born New York City transplant is an Angel on the up and up. Oh, and she can like a goddess on stilts.

While waiting to watch (well, re-watch) the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – airing tonight on CBS at 10pm – Maxim spoke to the Brazilian beauty about her first show, what makes her feel sexy and how a man can grab her attention.
How was walking in your very first VS Fashion Show?
It was my dream come true. The show was amazing and all of the models had great energy. I’ve never felt so happy.
What was your favorite performance of the night?
All of the performances were great, but my favorite was Ed Sheeran, who I walked to on the catwalk.
What was your favorite moment of the night?
When I stepped on to the glittered catwalk for the first time. It’s a feeling I can’t explain. I was in a dream.
Use one word to describe the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Incredible.
What is more difficult to walk in: the super high heels or the angel wings?
I’ve been a model for almost four years and I’ve always worn high heels, so for me, heels are normal, but when you walk the catwalk you have to concentrate so as not to fumble. The secret is to familiarize yourself with the heels first.
Who was the first person you called when you found out you would be walking in the show this year?
My boyfriend. My agent called me with the great news and I told him right away. The first words he said were, “You deserve it.”
What do you feel most sexy in?
Black lingerie.
What is something a man can do to grab your attention?
Be a gentlemen.
What do you look for in a significant other?
A gentleman, a good heart, someone who is polite and funny. For me, it’s what’s on the inside that’s important.
Where is your favorite hangout spot in NYC?
I may sound like a tourist, but I love Central Park. There, I can renew my energy, open my mind, and think about my life.
