Don’t let the golden blonde hair and charming smile fool you—Amanda Gullickson isn’t your typical Carolina girl.
After relocating to New York and then Los Angeles, her modeling career has been charging full speed ahead. Represented by Wilhelmina, Amanda has worked for Victoria’s Secret, fronted in activewear campaigns, modeled chic winterwear, and has too many swimwear editorial to name. Big things lie ahead for this 5’10” stunner.
Maxim recently caught up with Amanda between photo shoots for some non-modeling related know-how. Namely, she gave us the full rundown on what kind of men catch her eye, her ideal first date, and how she likes it in the bedroom.
How can a man catch your eye?
I am a sucker for tall men and always have been. Aside from that, I am totally an energy person. I love a man that just has a good, positive energy about him.
Anything else?
Anyone who has ambition and is passionate about something—always hungry and working to perfect his craft—is a huge turn on for me too.
What’s the worst pickup line you’ve ever heard?
I received a DM saying, “Too bad I have to look at you in pictures and not in the library, because I would check you out.”
Terrible. What advice would you give a guy who wants to approach you?
At the end of the day, confidence is attractive. You have to own who you are and rock it.
Good advice. How do you let a man know you’re interested?
I have no problem being direct about what I want. If I’m interested, he will know.
Got it. What’s your ideal date?
I’m not into all the fancy or elaborate stuff. I would much rather spend some quality time with someone when I can really get to know him in a chill, intimate setting. Ordering some food and just sitting on a balcony or a rooftop to talk about life is my kind of date night. Or you can always take me to a court, and we can play one on one.
Sounds like a challenge. What’s your guiltiest pleasure?
Sweets! A warm brownie or cookie with vanilla ice cream is absolutely everything to me.
When do you feel sexiest?
When I take the time to get cute and put on a nice outfit with a bomb pair of heels. Or, after I finish up with a really good workout.
Speaking of working up a sweat, what’s your favorite thing to do in the bedroom?
I love to just cuddle up and watch a good movie. A little playful wrestling is fun every once in a while.
Wild. What should a man never do in the bedroom?
A man should never start feeling himself too much. When a man is more into himself than you, it’s a complete turn-off.
The worst. Lastly, any sexy fantasies?
Honestly, I just love being spontaneous. Things that are unplanned always seem to turn out the best because there are no expectations.
