When we first sampled this brew, we were expecting something yeasty, like matzoh balls, but what we got instead was different. Pleasantly different.


When we opened and smelled it, we caught hints of the dark, salty scent of soy sauce. Yup.


And surprise!

It tasted kind of like soy sauce too, which is fine with us.


Funky Jewbelation is a blend of Jewbelation 15, Origin Pomegranate Strong Ale, Bittersweet Lenny’s R.I.P.A., Messiah Nut Brown Ale, Coney Island Lager, and Albino Python. It’s aged in bourbon and rye whiskey barrels and packs a whopping 9.4% ABV, which just the right amount to help you recover from a long Passover seder, if you ask us. 


If you’re not celebrating Passover and just like drinking, then we recommend drinking this dark brewsky with a steak or just pouring it on some rice for a nice, boozy, soy saucy feel. L’chaim and nom nom!
