Emily Ratajkowski is currently promoting her new memoir, My Body, and she’s opening up about a myriad of wild experiences that’ve unfolded over the course of her career as a supermodel, actress and influencer.

In one interview with the Sunday Times picked up by Vice, Ratajkowski reveals that she was paid $25,000 to be the Super Bowl date of Jho Low, an at-large international fugitive who allegedly helped steal $4.5 billion from the Malaysian state as the mastermind behind the 1MDB financial scandal.

“I was on the clock,” EmRata said of her experience with Low, who infamously infiltrated Leonardo DiCaprio’s inner circle of A-List socialites. Ratajkowski added that was “unaware” of what the date was supposed to entail and “unsure of why she was there, how long she had to stay and who her agent had to check with at the end of the night to find out whether she could leave.”

Ratajkowski also didn’t specify which Super Bowl they attended, but it was surely sometime after she was initially thrust into the spotlight following her appearance in Robin Thicke’s 2013 music video for “Blurred Lines.”

She touches on that first encounter with fame at 21 years old in an essay named for the hit song. “I wasn’t just famous; I was famously sexy, which, in many ways, felt gratifying.”

But other essays explore darker themes, such as the several instances of sexual assault Ratjkowski experienced over the course of her hugely successful career.

“I really was careful about what I chose to include and why,” she told CNN. “The reason I wrote about those experiences wasn’t like, ‘Oh, I’m going to (write) down a list of moments where I’ve been sexually assaulted.’ It was more, ‘Let me return to the moments that I have a lot of shame around, that I feel really unresolved feelings around, and I’m interested in exploring why.'”

As CNN puts it, much of My Body’s topics deal with the “agony and ecstasy of being idolized.”

“I mean, I am complicit.” she continued.

“But I also think it’s a mistake to shame a young woman for wearing a tight dress because she wants to be noticed by someone powerful. I don’t think that we should continue to criticize women for saying, ‘This is how I can succeed and capitalize off of my image or my body.’ That is an extension of the same misogyny I’ve seen so much in my life. We are all complicit.”

While Ratajkowski has undoubtedly been a victim modeling industry’s evils, she remains a top talent who recently starred in luxury outfitter Moose Knuckles’ fall campaign alongside comedian and Saturday Night Live castmember Pete Davidson.

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers tied to My Body, she shed some light on what makes Davidson so attractive to a long list of beautiful celeb exes including Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber and Kate Beckinsale.

“He’s a professional. First of all, you should know that about Pete” she revealed per Vanity Fair. “He’s got the height. Obviously, women find him very attractive,” she added in reference to Davidson’s modeling prospects.

“Guys are like, ‘Wow, what’s that guy got?’ And I’m like, I mean, he seems super charming. He’s vulnerable. He’s lovely. His fingernail polish is awesome. He looks good!”

Perhaps adding most to Davidson’s allure is his “good relationship with his mother. We love it, that’s hard to find.”
