Joe Rogan Tops Forbes List of Highest-Earning Podcasters With $30 Million a Year

The UFC commentator, comedian and “Joe Rogan Experience” host is absolutely raking it in.

At 52, Joe Rogan is totally crushing it. The UFC color commentator and stand-up comedian hosts the most popular podcast in America with The Joe Rogan Experience, and he’s got the jaw-dropping salary to back it up.

Rogan tops the first-ever Forbes list of highest-earning podcast hosts, and it’s no wonder the elk-eating thought leader hasn’t been lured back to TV given what he makes from his podcast alone.

With his long-form JRE podcast, also available on YouTube since 2013, Rogan pulls in an estimated $30 million a year. Only My Favorite Murder true crime podcast hosts Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff even come close to at No. 2—and they’re reportedly earning about half what Rogan makes at a still-astronomical $15 million per year.

Rogan claims “as many as 190 million downloads per month” according to Forbes, and is “No. 1 in terms of reach in the U.S.”

Here’s the full top five, a list comprised of both traditional radio hosts, celebs, and sportscasters:

1. Joe Rogan, $30 million
2. Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, $15 million
3. Dave Ramsey, $10 million
4. Dax Shepard, $9 million
5. Bill Simmons, $7 million

Bill Simmons may not be on this list next year—The Ringer, which he launched in 2016, was just purchased by Spotify.

We’ve got a feeling no one is buying out Rogan anytime soon, though—he’s one of a kind.
