WATCH: Adam Sandler Mentors Troubled Basketball Phenom In ‘Hustle’ Trailer

“Obsession is gonna beat talent every time. You got all the talent in the world, but are you obsessed?”

Adam Sandler demands his players are “obsessed” with basketball in the new teaser trailer for Netflix’s Hustle. The high-energy hoops flick is co-produced by Sandler and LeBron James and arrives on the streamer June 10th.

Sandler plays a recently-fired basketball scout who discovers a once-in-a-lifetime prospect with a rocky past (Utah Jazz forward Juancho Hernangómez in his movie debut) in Spain. While the prospect is a street ball phenom, he needs to follow Sandler’s advice and work on his mental game if he’s going to make it in the NBA.

“There’s a thousand other guys waiting in the wings who are obsessed with the game,” Sandler says in the trailer.

“Obsession is gonna beat talent every time. You got all the talent in the world, but are you obsessed? Let’s face it, it’s you against you out there.”

Hustle costars Robert Duvall, Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, Kenny Smith and several 76ers in the Philadelphia-set flick.

Hoops fan Sandler previously co-starred with NBA baller Kevin Garnett in 2019’s Uncut Gems, and went viral in 2021 for an outrageous pickup basketball game outfit.
