You Can Drive The Insanely Powerful Pininfarina Battista In ‘Forza Horizon 5’

There’s only one problem with the 1,877-horsepower, all-electric, speed record-setting Pininfarina Battista—and every other cutting-edge hypercar, for that matter. With a $2.4 million price tag, Italy’s most powerful street-legal car is prohibitively expensive.

Few will ever see one, let alone drive one, which is why we can all thank Forza Horizon 5 for putting the Pininfarina Battista in its award-winning game. Available as part of a new downloadable “European Automotive Car Pack,” anyone with an Xbox or a PC can now experience the quad-motor GT’s mind-melting performance in the digital realm.

We’re talking zero-to-60 mph in 1.79 seconds on the way to 120 mph in 4.49 seconds—the same figures offered by the real-life car, which also happens to be the fastest-accelerating production car in the world.

“We work closely with clients individually to ensure every Battista that leaves our Cambiano Atelier is a unique expression of their personality—and a true one of one,” Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, said in a statement.

“By joining Forza Horizon 5, we’re enabling enthusiasts across the world the chance to create a digital Battista that reflects their own tastes using a virtually endless choice of options—just like we do in the real world.”

What’s more, gamers get the unique opportunity to drive the digital Battista in places no one would dare drive on in the real world, including jungles, deserts, and even around the rim of a snow-capped volcano.

Even amid unreal scenery, the Forza Battista won’t compare to the real thing. “Nothing prepares you for the brutal acceleration and pace of the Battista. It’s like being shot from a cannon,” an Autocar India test driver remarked after piloting the real Battista at an Indian track in early 2023.

“Equally amazing is the ease with which Battista hit its top speed, within just half a straight of Natrax’s high speed track. Even at VMax, the Battista felt rock solid, relaxed, and discreet. This is the future of speed.”

The rest of us can enjoy Forza Horizon 5’s Pininfarina Battista on  on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, PC on Windows and Steam, and Xbox Game Pass including console, PC and Cloud Gaming (Beta).
