What a Beautiful Girl Wants: Robyn Lawley
The stunning swimsuit model tells us how she really feels about foreplay.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, model Robyn Lawley is making a serious splash stateside. Signed with Wilhelmina, the six-foot-tall knockout has shot for top photographers like Rankin and Steven Meisel and notably became the first “plus-sized” model to strip down for Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit Issue in 2015 (although she’s objected to that label in the past).
When she’s not making history with sultry swimwear editorials, Robyn is keeping us abreast of her racy lifestyle on her Instagram, which boasts 158,000 followers.
Maxim recently caught up with the in-demand model between photo shoots to find out how to catch her eye, how to kill that first date, and how to not totally blow things in the bedroom.
How can a man catch your eye?
Eye contact, especially from afar.
What turns you on?
Presence, strength, and a good smile.
Intelligence, humor, humility, and, above all, empathy.
What turns you off?
Lack of grooming. We girls have to go through so much, the boys can throw in a little effort too.
Fair enough. What are some other red flags?
Arrogance and entitlement.
What is your ideal date?
I’m a little spoiled because I lived in New York where there are endless options–museums, galleries, bowling, concerts… the list goes on and on. I think a movie is okay for a date but only if we do dinner first so we can get to know each other. I’m also a bit of a foodie and loved going to the epic food markets in Brooklyn.
What should a man never do on a date?
Be rude or entitled. I’m Australian. Most of us are easy-going by nature.
When do you feel sexiest?
I get dressed up for events a lot, and I’d be lying if I said that didn’t make me feel attractive.
Is there such a thing as too much foreplay?
It depends how good you are…
What should a man never do in the bedroom?
Never assume. It’s about respecting each other and trusting each other. You might like something crazy, she might too, but just don’t assume.
Got it. Any last advice?
I think finding someone you have a lot of chemistry with is the best way, having lots in common as well. Humor goes a long way, as do similar interests, passion, and heat.
