According to a super depressing new study from Southampton University, women tend to get bored of having sex with their guy after just one year together, which is bad news for all you dudes in long-term relationships. Sorry, bruh.

For the study, researchers surveyed 11,508 people, which means this was a massive pool of participants, and the findings are fairly reliable. So, if you’re approaching your one-year anniversary with your boo, you might want to take heed.

The results of the study revealed that 34 percent of women said they totally lost interest in knocking boots with their man after one year, whereas only 15 percent of dudes said they felt the same way.

Apparently, after the one year mark, the magic of the ‘honeymoon phase’ fades away into nothing, and ladies become four times less interested in hooking up with you, and start throwing around those dreaded “not tonight, babe” excuses like confetti.

And, as expected, when she gets bored of you, it probably means she’s going be on the prowl for new flavors of peen. In other words, she’s either going to break up with you, or cheat on you.

“Our findings show us the importance of the relational context in understanding low sexual interest in both men and women,” says study author Professor Cynthia Graham.

“For women in particular, the quality and length of relationship and communication with their partners are important in their experience of sexual interest. It highlights the need to assess and – if necessary – treat sexual interest problems in a holistic and relationship, as well as gender-specific, way.”

So…what’s the solution to this? How can you keep her from getting bored of you?

The answer, my good sir, is novelty. Relationships thrive on novel experiences, which is why we get bored of our partners after a certain point. 

When the newness of the relationship fades, you need to introduce novelty into your sex life, or else everything is going to go to shit and come to a fiery end. I recommend trying sex toys, having sex outside of the bedroom, trying something kinky (like butt stuff), or getting tanked together. 

Long story short, to avoid a boring relationship where she totally stops putting out, spice things up a bit.
