Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Dunks on LeBron James For ‘Stupid, Childish’ Victory Dance

NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is definitely not a fan of the celebratory “Big Balls” dance performed by LeBron James when the Lakers recently beat the Pacers.

It was one of James’ last games before he was put into the NBA’s health and safety protocols because of a positive coronavirus test. James later had subsequent negative tests that allowed him to return to the Lakers.

After James hit a clutch shot against the Pacers, he imitated Sam Cassell’s famous “Big Balls” dance, which the NBA has been fining players for since 2010. James’ dance was ripped by former Laker Abdul-Jabbar, who said an NBA superstar like James shouldn’t be doing those kinds of celebrations.

“For me, winning is enough. Why do you need to do a stupid, childish dance and disrespect the other team on the court? It doesn’t make sense. GOATs don’t dance,” the Basketball Hall of Famer said in a SubStack commentary video last week, per Fox News.

James earned a $15,000 fine for his controversial celebration. The Lakers star did the dance during the same game in which he had two heckling Pacers fans ejected, causing “LeSnitch” to trend on Twitter.

The Lakers are currently 12-12 and No. 6 in the Western Conference, just ahead of the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers.
