Converse & Comme Des Garcons Collab For Red-Hot Chuck 70s

Step up your sneaker game with these elevated designer Chucks.

Fashion label Comme Des Garcons is once again serving up an elevated take on the Converse Chuck 70.

Hypebeast spotted the luxe new kicks, which are set to release in late-March in both high- and low-tops styles. Two colorways pair either black uppers and white pinstripes or the inverse scheme with a bright red midsole and foxing.

Joining the inner quarter’s vintage “Chuck Taylor” label is Comme Des Garcons’ peeping heart logo on the outer quarter, alerting onlookers of the collab.

A special sneaker calls for special art, so the brands enlisted the expertise of legendary fashion photographer Craig McDean to capture images of the shoes in different stacked positions on an eye-popping red backdrop.

One photo sees a pair placed as it would be in shoebox. Another features four arranged heel-to-insole to create something of a Chuck Taylor sculpture, while a third is a tower of eight sneakers piled high.

Priced at $150, the Comme Des Garcons x Converse Chuck 70 arrives online at Dover Street Market and Converse on March 24.
