Breitling Teams With Mr. Porter for Gorgeous Vintage-Style Chronograph
Brawn meets beauty.
Aviation watchmaker Breitling has announced a partnership with luxury e-commerce giant Mr Porter, geared towards high-flying style obsessives.
The first creation from their partnership is a limited-edition Navitimer Aviator 8 B01 Chronograph, in the style of a chronograph model Breitling dropped earlier this year to great fanfare.
The watch works off what has been called one of the world’s greatest mechanical watch movements, the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01. The automatic-winding mechanism features a column-wheel switching mechanism and a vertical clutch and is a certified COSCcertified chronometer.
Mr Porter lent the brawny watch brand some urbane style points with a contrasting silver and anthracite “panda dial,” a satin-brushed bezel and a brown leather strap. Its transparent sapphire case back makes visible the movement of that Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01.
Only 1,000 of the timepieces will be produced. They will be available exclusively through Mr Porter as soon as June 4. Sometime later, they will gradually appear at select Breitling boutiques and retailers. Prices are still to-be-announced.
Breitling and Mr Porter will follow up the release of the limited-edition Navitimer Aviator 8 B01 Chronograph with 31 more timepieces.
