Omega x Swatch Debut Limited-Edition ‘Snoopy’ MoonSwatch
Available now.
Chances to score a luxurious Omega watch can be few and far between, which is what made the original 2022 Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch series of releases so covetable. And you can now add another equally covetable “MoonSwatch” to the roster, with the forthcoming debut of the Omega x Swatch Mission to the Moonphase “Snoopy” edition.
Set to drop on March 26th, the latest highly affordable update to the iconic Omega Moonwatch joins other exceptionally fast-selling releases from the partnership, like the Omega x Swatch “Mission to Moonshine” Gold edition from last spring.
Watches from the first run of the Omega x Swatch partnership resell for as much as nearly five times the original price (an incredibly accessible $260), a testament to an enthusiastic response from watch collectors and Omega fans.
And as to be expected, previous releases from Omega and Swatch also sold out within days in stores and online, leaving the wrist game-obsessed to head to the secondary market.
This new timepiece plays off Omega’s deep history with NASA, and in ways that are as distinct as its all-white dial, case, bezel and overall build.
Snoopy (yes, the iconic Peanuts character) was first chosen by NASA in the late 1960s to raise awareness for space flight safety, complete with drawings of the cartoon beagle from series creator Charles Schulz.
That also led to the Silver Snoopy Award, given to NASA employees who emphasize mission safety and success. The rest, one might say, is history, but now, there’s an iconic watch to drive that point home in eye-catching fashion.
On the new watch, Snoopy appears at the 2’o-clock subdial in the moon phase disc, and a Snoopy comic strip quote appears under UV light on that same subdial.
Both the iconic “Speedmaster” script and recent “MoonSwatch” logo adorn the all-white, moon-like dial in black, while the tachymetre also stands out in tasteful, contrasting fashion.
If you missed out on your chance to get an Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch the first time around, now is as good a time as any to try your hand again. But be warned: Lines at Swatch boutiques very well might be long, and the watch has the potential to sell out almost instantly online.
