Seth Rogen’s Houseplant Expands Gloopy Line Of Vases, Planters, Ashtrays & Rugs

“We’re really just getting started. There is so much more to be glooped.”

The Houseplant cannabis lifestyle brand co-founded by Seth Rogen is expanding its signature Gloopy line with colorful new vases, planters, rugs, and ashtrays. Houseplant, which says its stoner-chic products are designed to subvert the old cliché of weed-lovers’ homes “being clad with lava lamps and tie-dyes,” is betting that Gloopy fans will keep decorating their abodes with the line’s whimsical designs. The collection’s hand-fired pottery features globs of molten glass studding the ceramic creations, creating asymmetrical textures and making them entirely one-of-a-kind collectibles.

The latest Gloopy drops include ceramic ashtrays with a deep, ash-catching well and joint holder; planters peppered with multi-colored globs; vases to showcase cut plants or to serve as decorative objects on their own; and psychedelic rugs billed as “soft enough for your feet, bold enough to make your couch jealous.”

“It’s incredible to see something that began as a personal creative exploration tied to my passion for ceramics evolve into a whole world and collection of work that includes ashtrays, vases, planters, and rugs,” Rogen tells Maxim exclusively. “Watching people connect with this design and wanting to bring it into their homes has been really rewarding for me. We’re really just getting started. There is so much more to be glooped.”

Rogen, who next stars in the A24 comedy The Invite following the success of his award-winning Apple TV showbiz satire The Studio, has also been cultivating several buzzy Houseplant brand collaborations.

“When we were young, we dreamed of a future where ashtrays were beautiful and rolling trays were pieces of art,” Rogen and Goldberg declare on the Houseplant site.

“And let me tell you, that future is now, and it’s fucking awesome. Houseplant makes nice things for people who love weed. We do this because we believe that the objects we use to smoke should be just as awesome and elegant as the plant itself.” Houseplant’s newly-enhanced Gloopy collection is available now.
