Swatch Salutes James Bond With 007-Themed Watch Line
The six-watch capsule collection features stylish cues from iconic 007 title sequences and movie posters.
Ahead of the release of No Time to Die on April 10, Swatch is launching a collection of watches inspired by movie posters and title sequences from classic James Bond movies.
The six-piece capsule collection honors Dr. No (1962), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), Moonraker (1979), Licence to Kill (1989), The World is Not Enough (1999), and Casino Royale (2006). The latter, for instance, features a poker-themed face decked out with hearts, spades and diamonds, as well as other decorative motifs from Daniel Craig’s first outing as Agent 007. Each is presented in a retro, VHS-like package.
Hodinkee reports that Dr. No, Licence to Kill and Casino Royale models are specced in the 34mm “Original Gent’s” design, while the other three are part of the 41mm “New Gent’s” line. The Swatch Group also owns the Omega brand, which makes Bond’s signature Seamaster Diver 300M.
This isn’t Swatch’s first series that pays tribute to the franchise. In 2008, the Swiss watchmaker rolled out a massive James Bond Villains Set featuring timepiece tributes to 22 of the British superspy’s nemeses.
Priced at $95 for the 34mm models and $105 for the 41mm models, the Swatch x 007 collection drops on February 20.
