Fergie, who first coined the term Fergalicious (definition: make them boys go loco), has a new gig.

The Black Eyed Peas singer will host The Four: Battle for Stardom on FOX, where young hopefuls will sing their hearts out before a panel of A-list judges: Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and record-label executive Charlie Walk.

The competition show will give The Voice on NBC a new ratings rival and will follow in the tradition of FOX’s American Idol.

But there’s a twist, which is detailed in the official synopsis.

Four top-notch vocalists will fight to defend their coveted seats against hungry newcomers week after week. The longer they hold onto their seats, the closer they are to their dreams.

The singer left “sitting” will win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take their career to the next level with a panel of music industry heavyweights behind them. As part of grand prize, the winner will be named an iHeartMedia “On The Verge” artist.

Four singers will be given a leg-up at the start, but any of them can be replaced by a competitor, who must in turn be forced to hold onto his or her seat against new challengers. There will be a lot of drama for Fergie Ferg to MC.

Anyone interested in the chance to become America’s next great singer (but most importantly, to meet/genuflect before Fergie) can now audition.

Until then, you’ll just have to admire The Duchess from afar.
