Apple Just Revealed the Most Downloaded Apps, Music, Movies and More of 2017
Wonder Woman, Ed Sheeran and Snapchat were all very popular this year.
Apple has announced its most downloaded apps, music, movies, TV shows, books and podcasts of 2017, and it paints a vivid picture of our technology-driven popular culture.
There were no surprises in the music department: Drake, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift all reigned supreme. Some will be disappointed to remember “Despacito (feat. Justin Bieber)” was among the biggest hits of the year.
The top movies, which included Moana, Wonder Woman and Rogue One, signaled a shift to 4K HDR content. Drama, from The Americans to Game of Thrones, dominated TV downloads. Top books Big Little Lies and The Handmaid’s Tale boomed in popularity after being adapted to TV shows.
