With one semifinal left, one of just three national teams—(France/Spain), England, or Argentina—will take the 2026 FIFA World Cup title when the five-week-long soccer tournament concludes with the final match at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

In addition to an estimated $50 million payout, the winning team will hoist an 18-carat gold trophy showing two human figures lifting Earth, presented in an official bespoke Trophy Trunk crafted by Louis Vuitton. While this may sound like a prime product-placement opportunity, the luxe French fashion house has supplied several opulent cases for prestigious sporting awards since its first partnership with America’s Cup in 1983. Aside from the last five World Cup trophies, LV Monogram-emblazoned cases have also delivered accolades for the French Open (with a terracotta interior evoking the clay court surface), a League of Legends video game championship (with a trunk aptly accented with five LEDs), and the F1 Miami Grand Prix (with a trunk inspired by the city’s Art Deco heritage).

For the 2026 World Cup, craftspeople in the historic workshops of Asnières-sur-Seine covered the trunk in the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas, showcasing two front panels adorned with a golden “V” for “Victory” and “Vuitton.” The exterior is finished with leather trim, known as “lozines”—Louis Vuitton’s signature borders—along with gold-plated brass corner protectors, a lock, and clasps that echo those that have been used on Louis Vuitton trunks since the 1860s. The interior of the Trophy Trunk is lined with light beige leather, and a patch featuring the partnership logo between Louis Vuitton and FIFA is integrated into the lid.

The trunk will make its first appearance on the pitch during the tournament’s final, when it will be guided onto the field by Louis Vuitton Ambassadors and a yet-to-be-named FIFA legend. While the World Cup trophy trunk is one of one, LV is also launching three limited-edition trunks featuring similar designs—a Coffret 8 Montres mini-trunk designed to efficiently store up to eight watches on removable cushions, a Cotteville 16 Montres briefcase, and a Malle Courrier Lozine 110 storage trunk. Head to Louis Vuitton’s website for more details on those limited-edition trunks’ release—just be prepared to spend tens of thousands to cop one.
