Ah, butt stuff. So controversial, yet so loved by those who aren’t afraid to admit anal sex feels amazing.
But even though a lot of people say they’re not interested in anal, I bet they actually are, or else it wouldn’t be such a huge topic of discussion. And if people were seriously as creeped out by booty play as they say they are, there wouldn’t be an actual class about it at Harvard called “What What in the Butt: Anal Sex 101.” I mean, come on.
Anyway, when you think about it, though, there aren’t too many different positions for you to enjoy butt sex due to the anatomical locations of the involved body parts, so, the main position most couples know of for anal is doggy, but I’m here to tell you that there’s another, better position to try out.
According to Dr. Carlen Costa, a sexologist and relationship expert, anal sex is a lot more enjoyable for you and for your lady friend when she’s in control of how deep you’re butt-fucking her, how fast, and from what angle – so she recommends an inventive position called “The Matterhorn.”
Simply put, The Matterhorn is a variant of doggy style, but more upright. To do it, have her lean over a high stack of pillows so that her torso is perpendicular to the bed, and then press up against her from behind and get all up in her cakes.
Here’s what it should look like:
As you can see in the GIF above, The Matterhorn is essentially doggy style because you're giving it to her from behind, but your upper bodies are vertical, which allows her to have more control over your what your penis is doing in her ass.
And here's a bonus nugget of fun info: Leaning over a giant stack of pillows creates a mountainous shape reminiscent of the Matterhorn mountain in the Swiss Alps, hence the name. How creative.
“The Matterhorn is totally control freak-friendly,” Costa told Women's Health, and adds that the angle of penetration makes everything a lot easier and more comfortable for her, if you know what I mean.
"Although this is similar to doggy style in that he is behind you, this position allows you to hold your body up at a straighter angle. This gives you the power to rock yourself back and forth while your partner presses their body against yours."
And lastly, Costa recommends getting a little handsy beforehand to make the entry to the Hershey Highway a little easier. "Tease your anus beforehand to allow your anal cavity to become more relaxed and open to fully accepting the pleasure," she says, and encourages all anal enthusiasts to use copious amounts of lube, because the slipperier the slide, the better the ride.
